Lance started in the forensics field during his one-year deployment to Afghanistan as a U.S. Navy reservist supporting the US Army’s Document and Media Exploitation program. At the completion of his deployment, Lance secured a contracting position with Eiden Systems where he taught basic mobile forensics and collection to a variety of military units.  In 2016 Lance and his family moved down to Fayetteville, NC to start a position as a contracting position with CACI as a Forensic Examiner for the Joint Special Operations Command, eventually becoming the lead for the Cellular Exploitations team.

During his forensic career, Lance obtained his Master's Degree in Digital Forensics from Champlain College and earned his  SANS Certifications; GIAC Advanced Smartphone Forensics (GASF), and GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE).
